I build data and AI functions for consumer brands.

As Director of Data & AI at Jones Road Beauty, I built the warehouse, forecasting, reporting, and AI tools the company ran on as it scaled past nine figures. Now I lead that work for a few brands at a time, from planning it with your leadership team to building it myself.

01

What I take on

A data foundation you can trust

One warehouse, every source connected, and metric definitions your finance team signs off on. Polar Analytics, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Reporting and planning that run themselves

Daily and weekly numbers delivered to Slack and email, forecasting and demand planning on live data, and board reporting built from the warehouse.

AI your team actually uses

Skills and assistants built on your own data and processes, so people get answers without filing a ticket.

02

How I work

With your leadership team

I start by learning how the business really runs and what the CEO and CFO need to decide. The roadmap comes out of that, not out of a template.

Hands on

I write the SQL, build the pipelines, and ship the tools myself. You aren't paying for a deck someone else has to build.

Alongside your people

I work with your analysts, marketers, and operators, and I leave them able to run and extend what we build.

To an agreed finish

We write down what done looks like before work starts. Then I do what it takes to get there.

03

Selected work

Most of this was built while I led Data & AI at Jones Road Beauty. All of it is in daily use.

  • Demand planning tool

Replaced an outside planning vendor with a planner built around the team's own process, on live data, at a fraction of the cost.

  • Launch hub

Briefs, claims, channel plans, and dates for every product launch, in one place for the whole marketing team.

  • Daily reporting and alerts

Retail, ecommerce, and warehouse numbers reconciled every morning, with alerts sent to the person who owns each decision.

  • Internal tools portal

    35 internal tools behind a single sign-in.

  • AI skills library

Reusable AI workflows anyone on the team can run.

Polar Analytics featured this work in its case study, How Jones Road Beauty Became AI-Native.

Working together

First

A short, paid diagnostic

I map your data, reports, and processes, interview the people who use them, and write a prioritized roadmap.

Then

An ongoing engagement or a fixed project

We continue month to month, or agree a project with a set scope and end date.

I work with consumer brands doing $20M or more in revenue. Pricing depends on scope, and the diagnostic is where we set it.

Ben Rosenwald

I'm Ben Rosenwald. I've spent my career in consumer analytics, and at Jones Road Beauty I built the data and AI function as the company scaled.

I'm as comfortable in a leadership meeting as I am in the warehouse, and I usually spend time in both on the same day. I ask a lot of questions early. Once we agree on what done looks like, I get it done.

Let's talk about what your data should be doing.
